The injured, numbering nearly 150, were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, their pain and anguish evident. Among the crowd of nearly 400 people who were attending the convention, many were left traumatized and shocked by the sudden violence that befell them.
Heart-wrenching news emerged that JUI-F leaders, Maulana Ziaullah Jan and Hamidullah, were among the victims who lost their lives in the horrific explosion. A private news channel’s cameraman, Samiullah, was also among those wounded, highlighting the dangers faced by journalists reporting on such incidents.
The authorities cordoned off the area as law enforcement agencies and the Pakistan Army’s helicopters scrambled to aid in the rescue mission. The critically wounded, numbering ten, were carefully airlifted to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital for urgent medical attention.
