According to a traffic warden, a section of the bridge has been damaged and cannot handle heavy traffic. It is unclear when or if the road will be reopened.
Videos shared on social media show people frustrated and stuck in traffic due to the situation. A driver mentioned that traffic heading towards DHA 1 needs to make a U-turn from Sawan Bridge.
