Pakistan Railways (PR) has made an interesting decision to switch its network to solar energy. This move aims to reduce the economic burden on the railway system. The CEO of Pakistan Railways stated that the shift to solar energy will help eliminate financial challenges. Additionally, on the instructions of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Mohenjo Daro Express will be revived and operational from July 20.
The train will consist of eight economy coaches and will operate between Dadu and Habib Kot. The CEO, Salman Sadiq Sheikh, mentioned that if the Mohenjo Daro Express proves successful, they will consider restoring the Bolan Express. However, he clarified that operating the Khushhal Khan Khattak Express commercially is currently not feasible.
