Imran Khan announces to constitute a 7 members committee for negotiating with the government.
In the recent political developments, PTI has been facing a challenging phase. With almost 34 prominent lawmakers leaving the party. Imran khan stands in solitude.
Imran khan on 27th May 2023, while addressing to his supporters stated that he is ready to talk to the ‘powerful quarters’. He mentioned that
“I am forming this committee and I will say two things. If they convince it that they have a solution and the country can function better without Imran Khan, or they convince it what benefit will Pakistan gain from holding elections in October.”
The notification issued on Saturday nominated the following members of ‘negotiation committee’
1. Shah Mehmood Quershi
2. Pervez Khatak
3. Asad Qaiser
4. Haleem Adil Sheikh
5. Aon Abbass Buppi
6. Murad Saeed
7. Hammad Azhar
“Convince us on these two things, and I am ready to recede for the sake of the country”, he added.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, on the same day, ruled out his appeal for negotiations and labeled it as a request for NRO. The minister said that negotiations could not be held with the leaders of the criminals and terrorists.
Conclusively, despite the individual’s readiness to compromise, Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb’s rejection of negotiations and labeling it as a request for NRO reflects a stance that undermines Imran Khan’s strategies, making them appear ineffective in achieving their goals.
