Lahore Traffic Police Seize Motorcycle With 113 E-Challans

Lahore Traffic police seized a motorcycle on Walton Road after discovering that it had accumulated 113 e-challans for repeated traffic violations.

Patrolling officers Ghulam Arabi and Tanveer checked the motorcycle’s e-challan record and found 89 violations for riding without a helmet and another 24 for running red lights.

According to traffic police, the rider faced fines totaling Rs. 190,000. The motorcycle was impounded at Factory Area Police Station following the check.

The helmet violations accounted for most of the motorcycle’s recorded offenses, while the remaining challans were issued for ignoring traffic signals.

A traffic police spokesperson also said letters had been sent to government departments with outstanding e-challans, asking them to clear their dues. The statement did not identify the departments or specify the amounts they owed.

Syed Abdul Rahim Sherazi urged citizens to follow traffic rules to avoid e-challans and ensure they wear helmets when riding motorcycles.

He appealed to road users to comply with traffic regulations, with helmet use specifically highlighted in his message to motorcyclists.
