Accuracy and verification
Every factual claim is checked against primary sources, official records or at least two independent sources. Figures supplied by companies, institutions or government bodies are attributed, and we say so when they cannot be independently confirmed.
Positive does not mean promotional
We do not publish press releases as news, accept payment for coverage or allow subjects to approve stories before publication. Where a success story has limitations, risks or critics, we report them.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Journalists disclose any personal or financial connection to a story. Sponsored content is labelled and produced separately from editorial work.
Headlines and images
Headlines must reflect the story. We do not use clickbait or misleading thumbnails, and images are credited.
Opinion
Opinion and analysis are labelled and represent the views of their authors.
