PMDC Announces New Date for NRE Step-I

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has rescheduled the National Registration Examination Step-I from October 11, 2026, to November 8, 2026, due to unavoidable circumstances.

According to a notification issued by the PMDC examination department, the revised date will apply to all candidates appearing in the test.

The NRE is conducted as part of the registration process for Pakistani medical and dental graduates who have obtained their qualifications from institutions outside Pakistan.

The examination is meant to assess candidates against the required standards of medical and dental knowledge and competency before they move ahead with the registration process.

Candidates have been advised to note the revised date and follow further instructions issued by the PMDC.

The NRE is part of the regulatory framework designed to ensure that medical and dental practitioners seeking registration in Pakistan meet the prescribed professional standards.
