Pakistan Tests Extended Range Hypersonic Ballistic Missile Fatah-II

The Pakistan Army successfully test-launched the extended-range version of its Fatah-II hypersonic ballistic missile today, saying the weapon will strengthen its ability to strike targets deep inside enemy territory.

According to the military’s announcement, Fatah-II Extended Range (ER) features advanced navigation equipment and modern avionics designed to support precision strikes.

The Army said the missile’s distinctive flight trajectory and maneuverability allow it to overcome enemy missile defense systems while engaging targets with high accuracy.

The extended-range variant is intended to increase the Army’s operational reach, although the announcement did not specify its maximum range or speed.

The test was witnessed by the Commander Army Rocket Force Command, senior Army officers, and scientists and engineers involved in the weapon system’s development.

The commander praised the technical expertise and dedication of the development team following the successful launch.

Pakistan’s president and prime minister also congratulated the scientists and engineers. The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, along with the services chiefs, extended their congratulations on the successful test of the Fatah-II ER weapon system.
