Citi Pharma Gets CCP Approval to Acquire Pakheim International Pharma

Citi Pharma Limited has received regulatory approval to acquire the entire shareholding of Pakheim International Pharma (Private) Limited, bringing the proposed transaction a step closer to completion.

In a material information notice dated October 16, 2026, submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Citi Pharma said the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) issued its order on October 9, 2026, authorizing the proposed acquisition.

The approval was granted under Section 31(1)(d)(i) of the Competition Act, 2010, following the commission’s review of the transaction. According to the company’s disclosure, the CCP determined that the proposed acquisition did not raise competition concerns.

Citi Pharma said the acquisition would proceed in accordance with the terms of a share purchase agreement signed on May 6, 2026, subject to the completion of applicable legal, regulatory and other formalities.

The company added that it would make further disclosures as required once the transaction reaches the relevant milestones.

The proposed deal involves the acquisition of 100% of Pakheim International Pharma’s shareholding. However, Citi Pharma’s disclosure did not specify the transaction value or provide further details about the expected financial impact of the acquisition.
