Islamabad Cracks Down on Cow Owners
The district administration has banned the establishment and operation of cattle pens for cows and buffaloes in residential areas of Islamabad over concerns related to public health, cleanliness and environmental pollution.
The administration has also started enforcement against violators of the ban, the Deputy Commissioner updated a short while ago.
The Assistant Commissioner Nilore took action on Lehtrar Road, sealing eight cattle pens and sending six individuals to lockup.
The ban covers cattle pens operating in residential areas and is aimed at addressing health, sanitation and environmental concerns associated with keeping livestock in such areas.
The district administration has directed relevant authorities to take action against cattle pens operating in violation of the restrictions.
