Punjab University Launches New Online Affiliation Portal

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali inaugurated the university’s new affiliation portal on Wednesday and released the affiliation report for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic sessions.

The report highlights the university’s progress in digital transformation, the expansion of affiliated colleges, increased student intake and the introduction of diverse academic programs.

The university held the inauguration ceremony at the VC’s Office Committee Room. Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said the report demonstrates the university’s commitment to transparency, efficiency and quality education across its affiliated colleges.

He praised the Affiliation Branch for digitizing all affiliation records and said the move would improve record management, increase transparency and provide easier access to information.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram said the new online portal would allow colleges to submit applications digitally for new affiliations, affiliation extensions and increases in student intake limits.

The portal will also allow the online transmission of affiliation notifications and give colleges access to key information, including their names, approved student intake and affiliation sessions.

He said the system would automatically transfer affiliation data to the registration portal, allowing affiliated colleges to enter student enrollment information more efficiently. According to the report, revenue collections from both private and public sector colleges increased significantly between the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic sessions.
