Islamabad Introduces Online Driving Licence Services

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) will launch online services for learner permits, driving licence renewals, and duplicate licences on Monday, October 19, allowing residents to apply from home without visiting police offices.

According to a police spokesperson, the initiative follows directions from Islamabad Inspector General of Police Captain (retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry to improve public convenience and expand digital services.

Residents will be able to access the services through the Islamabad Traffic Police web portal. Starting October 19, authorities will no longer process applications for these services at Traffic Headquarters in Faizabad or other police facilitation centers.

Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan said TCS courier services would deliver renewed and duplicate driving licences directly to applicants’ homes. She added that the service would eliminate unnecessary visits to police offices, save time, and make the process more convenient.

Khan advised applicants to provide their full names, accurate residential addresses, and active mobile phone numbers when submitting online applications. She warned that incomplete or incorrect addresses could delay delivery.

She said Islamabad Traffic Police remained committed to providing accessible and convenient digital services, with public convenience and saving citizens’ time among its top priorities.
