Property Tax, Water Bill Payments Made Easier

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) have made key civic services available through the PAK App, including facilities for paying property tax and water bills online.

The move allows residents and businesses to access services through their mobile phones, reducing the need to visit government offices for routine applications and payments, according to a press release issued on Sunday.

The services covered include advertising and open-space permissions, parking permits, generator licences and municipal approvals. Access to individual services will be subject to their applicable requirements, while the authorities plan to expand digital access progressively.

Through the app, users can submit applications and documents, track application status and make payments through available digital channels where applicable. The system will also maintain electronic records of applications, approvals and transactions.

CDA and MCI said the platform would support complaint registration and tracking, subject to system requirements. They described the initiative as part of a wider effort to move Islamabad’s civic services towards cashless, contactless and paperless delivery.
