Heavy Fines Imposed on 8 Airlines

The Pakistan Airports Authority has taken action against several airlines and imposed heavy fines over poor passenger services and delays in baggage delivery.

According to the authority, 19 cases of baggage delivery delays were reported between July 1 and August 15, 2026, leading to fines against eight airlines.

The PAA said the airlines were collectively fined Rs1.62 million.

It added that airlines are being required to ensure timely baggage delivery to reduce inconvenience for passengers.

The authority said steps are also under way to improve passenger facilities and ensure compliance with prescribed service standards.

It further said the quality of services provided to passengers at airports across the country is being continuously monitored.
