Pakistan Railways Cuts Fuel Quota for Officers

Important decisions have been taken in the Ministry of Railways as part of Prime Minister’s austerity measures.

House building advance loans in Pakistan Railways have been suspended until December 31. No officer or employee will be issued a house building advance during this period.

The Railways Minister has also decided to ban all foreign official visits by officers and employees.

Orders have been issued for the immediate implementation of the prime minister’s austerity measures in Pakistan Railways.

Under the cost-cutting steps, all relevant instructions are being implemented across the department.

Official fuel allocations for officers have been reduced by 50 percent, while the Railways Minister’s fuel allowance has also been cut by 50 percent.
